Briefing
Commissioned by Salon Pictures Jake was asked to create the soundtrack to this feature telling the story of a medical marijuana growing Nun in California. An almost surreal set of circumstances bring us to the point where we meet the protaganist and the cast of characters. The score had to capture both the pain of personal betrayal, menace and very real danger, and the level of out and out crazy that is woven into this story.
Approach
The task was to find the lines between pathos, menace and the absurd. Jake used orchestra, electronics and solo acoustic instruments to create an Indie style soundtrack the never settles in one emotional or genre based place.
Result
Th client was delighted with the final soundtrack and the film was released just as the medical marijuana debate came to the top of the news in the UK.
